Scientific Department Head- Microbiology, Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology

Matthew Hadaway is the Department Head of Microbiology at Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology, dedicated  to advancing the department through the integration of emerging technologies and automation, with the goal to enhance diagnostic accuracy and patient care.  His previous 11 years’ experience in the Molecular Microbiology discipline has equipped him with insights into the challenges posed by technological adoption and the strategies needed to overcome them effectively.  Matthew concurrently manages the laboratory contracted to test participants of Queensland and Northern Territory for the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program (NBCSP), as part of the Sonic Healthcare network.
