CliniCon welcomes you to Melbourne in 2026 and forms part of ASM’s Annual Scientific Meeting. ASM Lyn Gilbert Award 

The purpose of this award is to recognise major contributions in any area of diagnostic laboratory microbiology in Australia or internationally by ASM members/fellows.

The recipient of the Lyn Gilbert Award are expected to present at the Annual Scientific Meeting. They will also receive a plaque given at the meeting’s award ceremony, $1000 prize money, a full conference registration to the Annual Scientific Meeting and up to 3 nights accommodation.

ASM Clinical Microbiology Travel Award 

The aim of this award is to encourage ASM members working in the field of clinical microbiology to attend the Annual Scientific Meeting and CliniCon. 

The recipient receives a certificate given at the meeting’s award ceremony, $1000 in travel expenses and a full conference registration to the Annual Scientific Meeting and CliniCon.

The recipient is expected to present at CliniCon.
