A/Prof Allison Imrie

Allison Imrie is an Associate Professor in the School of Biomedical Sciences, University of Western Australia. Her research group has investigated molecular epidemiology and evolution of endemic and introduced mosquito-borne viruses of medical importance, collaborating with partners across Australia, the Asia Pacific region and the US. She has also investigated transmission and pathogenesis of other infectious diseases including HIV/AIDS, SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19, and Leptospirosis. She has contributed to global Health Security as an adviser to WHO, Australia DFAT and New Zealand MFAT on laboratory capacity and development of diagnostic tests.
